周永志，1938 年出生，浙江东阳人，原金华县教育学会副秘书长，教师三笔字(粉笔、钢笔、毛笔) 书法指导师。义乌工商学院金华职业技术学院、金华老年大学外聘书法指导师。
现系《中央美术学院》外聘书法教授、书法博士生导师。中国教育联盟客座教授。中国文化管理协会聘任的书法技师技能鉴定的培训项目专家委员，中国文联人民出版社授予《功则艺术家》称号。文旅部艺术发展中心授予《人民艺术家》荣誉称号。
其书作以特点十分明显独特称著。《中国收藏》评其书法“笔势纵横，淋漓痛快······，有强烈的自我意识，并形成自己显明特色。香港书家评论他的字具有“形态美，气势美，意境美”。《艺术与价值》点评周永志书法“大气磅礴，挥洒自如，一时急泻如风雨雷电，一时平静如松生空谷······
题写了《长诚谣》《黄大年》等电影片名，20 多幅书作写在景德镇瓷器上烧制成两套“瓷器国礼”、出版了三套珍藏邮册、四套草书挂历。
先后编写了《小学古诗浅析》《金华市读本》两套教材，创作了《赤松黄大仙仙乡新诗词》近 40 首，先后在《世界美术》《中国书法》《中国书法研究》等权威书法刊物上发表了《在书法创作中贯彻“创造性转变”“创新性发展”的几点思考》、《书法形体美、气势美、意境美诌议》等论文。
Zhou Yongzhi, born in 1938 in Dongyang, Zhejiang Province, was the former Deputy Secretary General of the Jinhua County Education Society and a calligraphy instructor for three stroke characters (chalk, pen, brush). Yiwu Business College Jinhua Vocational and Technical College and Jinhua Senior University have hired external calligraphy instructors.
I am currently an external calligraphy professor and doctoral supervisor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Visiting Professor of China Education Alliance. Expert member of the training program for calligraphy technicians’ skill appraisal appointed by the China Cultural Management Association, awarded the title of "Artist of Merit" by the People’s Publishing House of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The Art Development Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism awarded the honorary title of ’People’s Artist’.
His works are known for their distinct and unique characteristics. The Chinese Collection evaluates his calligraphy as "characterized by vertical and horizontal strokes, vivid and unrestrained..., strong self-awareness, and the formation of his own distinctive features. Hong Kong calligraphers comment that his characters have" beautiful form, beautiful momentum, and beautiful artistic conception ". The review of Zhou Yongzhi’s calligraphy in "Art and Value" states: "It is grand and majestic, freely flowing, sometimes rushing like wind, rain, lightning, and sometimes calm like a pine tree growing in an empty valley······
Titles of movies such as "Changcheng Ballad" and "Huang Danian" were inscribed, and over 20 books were burned onto Jingdezhen porcelain to create two sets of "Porcelain National Gifts". Three sets of collector’s albums and four sets of cursive calendars were published.
I have successively written two sets of textbooks, "A Brief Analysis of Ancient Poetry in Primary Schools" and "Jinhua Reader", and created nearly 40 new poems and verses in "Red Pine, Wong Tai Sin, Xianxiang". I have also published papers such as "Reflections on Implementing" Creative Transformation "and" Innovative Development "in Calligraphy Creation" and "Discussions on the Beauty of Calligraphy Form, Momentum, and Artistic conception" in authoritative calligraphy journals such as "World Art", "Chinese Calligraphy", and "Research on Chinese Calligraphy".
